Cintech and Agro-Biotech join forces

CINTECH AGROALIMENTAIRE AND STATION AGRO-BIOTECH ANNOUNCE THE SIGNING OF A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO POOL R&D AND ENABLE THE PRODUCTION OF INNOVATIVE BEVERAGES, ALCOHOLIC AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR EMERGING COMPANIES..

Through this partnership, the two Saint-Hyacinthe-based companies will now be able to offer a multidisciplinary service, in a market where there is a real shortage in these specializations. Station Agro-Biotech will benefit from the support of the Cintech agroalimentaire team for its research and development projects, while Cintech agroalimentaire will now be able to offer its customers direct contact for low-volume production, in order to provide them with a turnkey service.

This is great news for local small businesses, who will now be able to market their products in small volumes, in a high-quality environment that meets the strictest GFSI SQF (Global Food Safety Initiative) certification standards. Indeed, Station Agro-Biotech is in the process of obtaining accreditation for its new plant. This important step will enable the Saint-Hyacinthe-based company to develop new markets and seize untapped opportunities.

A natural partnership
Both located in the Cité de l’innovation agroalimentaire and sharing common growth objectives, it was only natural for Cintech agroalimentaire and Station Agro-Biotech to join forces.

Cintech agroalimentaire, having acquired expertise in prototype-scale beverage development, will be able, thanks to this agreement, to offer companies pilot testing, industrial scale-up and, finally, direct access to industrial production for rapid marketing across the province.

« Cintech is delighted with this partnership with a major player in agri-food innovation. Our two companies, located in the heart of the Cité de l’innovation agroalimentaire, are setting an example of a new development model possible by pooling equipment and R&D expertise to offer a unique capability of an agile R&D team and co-manufacturer for our industry. This new agreement is one of a series of partnerships announced or to be announced involving various players in the agri-food processing industry. » Jean Lacroix, CEO, Cintech agroalimentaire

For Station Agro-Biotech, this announcement solidifies the company’s new direction, which is to optimize its very large production capacity and become a leader in bottling in Quebec.

« With the rapid growth experienced by Station Agro-Biotech, and to continue to stand out in the industry, we need to surround ourselves with the best. It’s through this type of partnership, which enables us to grow while keeping agility and innovation at the heart of our priorities, that we’ll succeed. I’m proud to be able to open the doors of my plant to entrepreneurs who are looking for an accessible production facility that meets the highest quality standards in the beverage industry. » Jonathan Robin, founding president of Station Agro-Biotech
