Cintech receives $3.8 million in funding from Canada Economic Development

THE HONOURABLE PASCALE ST-ONGE ANNOUNCES TOTAL SUPPORT OF $3,840,000 FOR CINTECH AGROALIMENTAIRE. DEC’S SUPPORT WILL ENABLE US TO SUPPORT QUEBEC AGRI-FOOD PROCESSING COMPANIES THROUGH THE ACQUISITION OF STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT, POSITIONING US AS A LEADING PLAYER IN THE PLANT PROTEIN SECTOR, AMONG OTHERS.

Cintech is delighted to be able to count on this financial support of $3,840,000 from CED, in addition to our investment of $960,000. Processing companies, producers and other research centers will all benefit from these major acquisitions, enabling them to innovate, stand out from the crowd and promote Canadian food autonomy.

The announcement was made during a visit by the Honourable Pascale St-Onge, MP for Brome-Missisquoi, Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, accompanied by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.

In addition to the two ministers, Mr. Jean Lacroix, President and CEO of Cintech agroalimentaire, was accompanied on the visit by André Beauregard, Mayor of Saint-Hyacinthe, Louis Bilodeau, Director General of the City of Saint-Hyacinthe, Aisha ISSA, Director General of ITAQ, Emmanuel Montini, Director General of Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe and Dominique Chaussé, member of Cintech agroalimentaire’s Board of Directors.
